Paraguay Residency Cost: Transparent Pricing for 2026

Most people researching Paraguay residency get quotes that look cheap at first and grow with every "extra": translations billed separately, government fees added later, a second invoice for the cédula. We price the opposite way.

Every package on this page is a single flat fee that includes specialized legal advice, sworn translations of your documents, all government filing fees, a notarized power of attorney and representation by a licensed attorney from start to finish. The price we quote is the price you pay.

We can commit to a flat fee because Residency Paraguay is based in Asunción and works with the immigration and identification authorities every week. We know exactly what each stage of your case will cost before we start — and we put it in writing before you pay anything.

Prices are in US dollars and can also be paid in guaraníes at the current exchange rate. Promotional pricing is valid until November 30, 2026.

We offer three packages: two for temporary residency and one for direct permanent residency through the investor route.

Premium and Investor also include private airport transfer and executive transport to every government office. The Investor package adds a presentation of qualified investment options: real estate, capital markets, bonds and approved tourism projects.

Whichever package you choose, the following is always part of the flat fee:

• Specialized legal advice from a licensed attorney with more than 10 years of immigration practice
• Document validation with the authorities before filing, so problems are caught before they cost you time
• Sworn translations of all your foreign documents into Spanish
• All government fees for the residency application
• Notarized power of attorney, so we can act on your behalf between trips
• Home delivery of your documents once issued (international courier not included in Essential)
• Assistance in English and Spanish throughout the process
• Progress updates every 20 days by email or WhatsApp

You will never wonder where your file stands: our office reports proactively until your cédula is in your hands. Details on the ID card itself are on our cédula page.

To start, you pay a $100 deposit. It does two things:

1. It secures your spot in our calendar and locks in the promotional price for your chosen package.
2. It is credited in full toward your package — it is not an extra charge on top.

If you book the Essential package, for example, you pay $100 today and the remaining $2,200 as the process moves forward. Before you pay anything we review your situation in a free WhatsApp consultation, so you know your case qualifies before committing a single dollar.

Once the deposit is in, you receive a personalized document checklist for your country of origin and we plan your trip dates around your own calendar. Nothing moves forward without your confirmation, and there is no pressure to travel before your documents are ready.

You can apply for Paraguay residency without a lawyer, and it is fair to ask what that would cost. Realistically, a do-it-yourself application typically adds up to $2,000–2,500 anyway:

• Government fees of roughly $357 per application stage (temporary residency, then the cédula, later permanent residency)
• Apostilles for your home-country documents
• Certified sworn translations into Spanish
• Two or more trips to Paraguay, because few applicants complete every step in one visit on their own
• Local "fixers" or facilitators, whom most DIY applicants end up paying for help with queues and offices

The bigger risk is not the money but the errors. A missing apostille, an expired police certificate or a mistranslated name means your file is rejected and you re-file — new fees, new translations, sometimes a new trip. A licensed attorney removes that risk: our lead attorney, Antonia Alonso de Mostafa (CSJ license No. 16,068), has handled more than 500 cases with a 98% approval rate, and we validate every document with the authorities before filing.

A simple way to decide:

• Budget-conscious and flexible? Choose Essential ($2,300). Two shorter trips, the same legal work, the lowest total price. See the full process on our temporary residency page.
• Short on time? Choose Premium ($2,800). One trip of 5–7 business days covers residency, cédula and RUC, with private transport throughout — you fly home with everything filed.
• Want permanent status immediately? Choose Investor ($15,000). Under Law 6.984/2022, qualified investors receive permanent residency directly, skipping the two-year temporary stage.

Remember that under Law 6.984/2022, temporary residents can convert to permanent residency after two years — so Essential and Premium lead to the same destination, just on a different schedule.
